“The RBA is making a strategic dedication to prioritise its work agenda on wholesale digital cash and infrastructure – together with wholesale CBDC,” Brad Jones, assistant governor for the monetary system, stated in an announcement on Wednesday. “This present day, we assess the potential advantages as extra promising, and the challenges much less problematic, for wholesale CBDC in comparison with a retail CBDC.”
