As Upstate Artwork Weekend (UAW) kicks off its sixth version (till 21 July), the occasion is attractive creatively minded New Yorkers to flee the sweltering metropolis warmth and discover the idyllic environs of the Hudson Valley and the Catskill Mountains. This yr boasts greater than 155 members spanning galleries, studios, museums and artwork centres everywhere in the area.
UAW was based in 2020 by Helen Toomer (a co-founder of each Stoneleaf Retreat and Artwork Mamas) as a method to work together throughout the isolation of the Covid-19 pandemic. It’s now supported by the workforce behind House Design + Manufacturing and sponsored by Bloomberg Connects.
